" THE CIRCUS IS COMING TO TOWN"
The Pittsfield, Mass. July 4th parade, one on the largest in the North East , which attracts close to 100,000 has chosen " The circus is coming to town" as it's theme. All floats will have a circus theme and bands will play circus marches. The Berkshire community College Circus Camps restored circus wagon will be in the parade as well as the children from the camp.
The Cole Bros Circus will also be brought to town by the Dalton Lions club hosted by the Pittsfield parade committee and will have performers and vehicles in the parade. The Wayne Mc Cary Tent #172 will have a lunch on the circus grounds and attend the July 4th 1:30 show. Plans are in the works to build a CFA float for the parade.
We are looking for clowns, clown bands, bands, circus wagons and a calliope for the parade. This would be an excellent place to showcase the circus.
