More than 60 members and friends of Fr. Jack Toner/Bluch Landolf Tent 24 congregated at the usual venue (J. Timothy's of Plainville, CT) for the Annual Tent 24 Banquet. WARD HALL arrived the evening before, attracting a small crowd of fans at a local restaurant where he dined on Prime Rib and declared the creamed spinach "the best I've ever had". Truly the program began the night before the banquet! Banquet day saw Ward looking marvelous as ever dressed in white with bright yellow jacket. A fan quickly corrected the missing flower from the lapel. Ward truly is received by the fans in an extraordinary manner, as it is this writer's opinion that he very well understands the show business that we so love, and he ALSO understands the point of view of a circus fan, and Ward enjoys socializing with both, magically able to bring the circus and the circus fan TOGETHER. Indeed, Ward went out of his way several weeks ago, in agreeing to be the keynote speaker. Ward had 'em from the start of his talk - till HOURS past. Those who could not get enough went to dinner afterwards, at the J. Timothy's regular restaurant. Ward enjoyed chicken pot pie in the very same restaurant that has been in business since George Washington was President. Jackpots continued, spilling out into the parking lot hours after the banquet had ended. Unable to get enough..........a contingent of CT Circus Fans is planning to see Ward's show before he leaves New York this Friday. Connecticut fans were joined by many fans from New York, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New Jersey. All had a wonderful time.
