Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey choregrapher of the Red and Blue Units passes.

                                            Passing of Jerry Fries

Gerald H. "Jerry" Fries, 77,  of Wolf Court, Altoona, PA, formerly of Brooklyn Heights, N.Y. died Friday, May 6, 2005, at the Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg, PA after a brief illness.

After graduating from Altoona High School in 1946, Jerry moved to New York City, where he performed in Broadway shows including "Annie Get Your Gun,"  "Wonderful Town,"  "Guys and Dolls" and "Me and Juliet" and numerous television shows.

He joined Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus in 1974, directing and choreographing the Red and Blue Units.  He also worked in productions at Circus World and Great Adventure parks and at Ice Capades in Australia.

Friends will  be received from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 10th.  At Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juanita, PA.   Funeral Services by Pastor Denise M. Arpino will follow the viewing at 8:00 PM. - Mauk & Yates telephone 814-942-4555.
