The Circus Fans Association of America ("CFA") is sponsoring a logo contest to create a new distinctive CFA logo.

CIRCUS FANS ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA
PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE
SPONSORING A CFA LOGO CONTEST

The Circus Fans Association of America ("CFA") Public Relations Committee with the support and approval of CFA President Bart Iddins is sponsoring a logo contest to create a distinctive CFA logo that is commercially appealing and is representative of the circus industry today. Contestants will be asked to think about the American Circus as a treasured art form, which encompasses all facets of the circus industry in the 21st Century. The end result of a successful contest will be a CFA logo that can be used to promote CFA on merchandise, letterheads and other uses.

The contest is open to all who may wish to participate. One need not be a member of CFA to participate. The winning logo will become the registered trademark of CFA.

There is a cash prize of $200 for the winning entry. The successful logo will have wide exposure, as it will be featured in all CFA material including, but not limited to; the CFA.Org web site, White Tops, apparel, and business systems.

The contest will be judged by an ad-hoc committee of the CFA PR Committee with final approval of the selected winning entry to be approved by the CFA Board of Directors.

The competition will close on October 30, 2004.

Ed Limbach, Chair of the Public Relations Committee, said that this presents a great opportunity for artists to come up with a logo that will brand our organization for the years to come. Identity is important for the association if it is to expand its horizons, he said. CFA members who know artists that aren’t connected with CFA should encourage them to participate.
